1.Who are you?

My name is Israel Papillon, I am 22 years old and I live in Quebec City, Canada. It is my first year studying business accounting full-time here at University. As most students I have more homework than money, and my finances are running very low. I proposed to the love of my life in September, and we are getting married next summer. Unfortunately, I didn’t take in consideration the fact that a wedding is somewhat expensive. I had to come up with an idea, and The Love Tree Homepage is what popped out.

2.Who is she?

Her name is Elizabeth and she means the world to me. It is her second year taking medical science and she is a very serious student. We are getting married together during the blessed summer of 2007. She has a queen’s name but she’s more like my little princess. I promised myself I would make our wedding the best event of her life. Can you help?

3.What is the idea?

This site is about the most wonderful woman in the world, and trying to make her wedding the most perfect event of her entire life. My goal setting up this whole website is to raise enough money to pay for it.

I welcome everyone to “carve” their name in internet history on The Love Tree by buying pixel blocks at 10$ for a 100-pixel block (each measuring 10 x 10 pixels). You will see The Love Tree is divided in 2000 of these 100-pixel blocks (there are 200,000 pixels available in total). The reason for selling them in 100-pixel blocks is because anything smaller would be too small to display anything meaningful.

You can buy as many pixels as you like, as long as there are still some available (see the live stats at the top of the page). When you buy some pixels, you are granted the right to carve the image/ad/logo of your choice in the space you have purchased on The Love Tree. You can also have the image be a link to your own website. However, no offensive or obscene images are allowed.

The pixels you buy will be carved in The Love Tree permanently. The Love Tree will not change. Using some of the money I make from The Love Tree project site, I guarantee to keep it online for at least 5 years, but hopefully much longer. I want The Love Tree to become some sort of internet milestone or time capsule. I believe the pixels that you own will offer good value, considering the visibility it gives you over the years. You will have your name carved in internet history!

4.Is this a joke?

Though this whole thing may have something funny to it, we are a real couple and our love is genuine! Have a look at the Photos & Timeline page and be your own judge.

5.Why should I carve The Love Tree?

I could tell you that advertising is good for you, that having your image/link on The Love Tree homepage will give you visibility, that The Love Tree will potentially be seen by millions of people in the coming years, and that your name will be carved in internet history, but there is more to it. This site’s purpose is really a call for support. I am asking you to help me bring that “Walt Disney style” magical touch (that most girls have always dreamt of) and to take part into making this wedding the best Elizabeth could have ever hoped for.

6.What will you do with the money?

The money raised with The Love Tree will pay for the wedding, reception, decorations, all the expansive little things that we don't think of at first, and the extra will be for our honeymoon trip. We can't afford to go very far right now so Elizabeth is not expecting a big trip but if you help me out a bit I might be able to take her to Europe as a surprise...

Certainly! Juste copy/paste the following code
